Road Cycle Racing and traffic are like oil and water. Roadies are asking if they will be safe out there. Billy Mokoena pictured here with Heidi Minnaar from Kwadukuza Traffic is responsible for traffic control and road closures for the event. Looking after the small part of the routes that touch Durban Metro will be Freddy Govender.

Both bring extensive experience to the task and detailed plans have been formulated to manage the road closures to ensure cyclist safety and minimise the impact on businesses and organisations on the routes. The Race Organisation and the cyclists are indebted to these Law Enforcement Officers.
